The south end of Red Deer was SO ready for a fresh new spot for good food! The Granary, a farm-to-table, locally sourced restaurant opened in October 2019 and has quickly become one of Red Deer’s go to lunch & dinner spots.
We have eaten here personally on several occasions and have not been disappointed. Whether it is a quick lunch fish and chips, a wing Wednesday, or a weekend date night, The Granary always delivers fresh, interesting options.
Admittedly, we are not food critics, but one of the reasons we are excited about this place is because we were also responsible for it’s visual identity and branding. When we aren’t shooting weddings or engagements, we love to take on meaningful design projects like this one. Take a look at some of the assets we created for The Granary.
The font pairings, monogram, and black & grey aesthetic gives the brand a high-end but cozy chip-and-jo farm vibe (Yes, I just used “chip-and-jo” as an adjective).
Seeing how the team at the Granary applied these designs has been quite amazing. Our personally favourite might be the embroidered aprons. Have a look…
Then again, the de-bossed menu covers are also stunning.
Tackling the menu inserts was another major project, luckily for us Patrick and Janell, the owners of the restaurant have great taste in not just food, but design also.
Also, a giant feature wall on the white brick exterior has made a great spot for some instagram posts.
So next time you are heading out for a meal, we highly recommend stopping in and grabbing something fresh and tasty at the Granary. The blackened chicken is a winner in our books!
